The French Grand Prix has become the 10th Formula 1 race to be postponed as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
French Grand Prix organizers announced on Monday that the race at Paul Ricard Circuit on the 28th of June was Off since President Emmanuel Macron expanded the countrys ban on mass gatherings until mid-July earlier this month.
Meanwhile Formula 1 boss Chase Carey said the start of the season was expected to take place in Austria on the 5th of July.
Carey added that the Finalized Calendar will be published soon but added that in September, October and November the races will be held in Eurasia, Asia and the Americas while finishing the season in December with the Bahrain Grand Prix before the traditional finale in Abu Dhabi as the season could be completed with 15 to 18 races.
